This is our True Indigo shrub variety, growing 3 to 6 feet in a single year! These lovely, nitrogen fixing legumes produce lots of material for indigo extraction. Considered an annual in most of the USA, these produce seed easily so you can replant every year. Pretty pink flowers will appear later in the Summer, but flower production does not impact pigment levels as severely as in the Japanese indigos.
sticker says 20 seeds, this year we are sending over 40, as the germination tests were lower than expected, likely due to last Summers drought. 55% germ rate expected.
